The food is so good here; meat is well spiced, cooked, tasty and tender! The bread with sauces and pickled veg to start is a nice touch and not to be sniffed at. The hot sauce is amazing. I loved all parts of my meal and the taste of the smokey charcoal grill really adds to all items on the plate. The rice, unreal. Definitely recommend this place, it offers great value, friendly staff and good ambience.

Nice service .Very respectful staff... They are opening the door for you when you are getting in and going. They are grilling the meat infront of you so you can see that is fresh. Turkish food is one of the best choices and Istanbul Restaurant is one of the best in Portsmouth.
